The Great Gorge of the Ruth Glacier in Denali National Park is the deepest in North America. The ice is 3,700 feet deep and some of it more than a thousand years old with granite walls soaring 4000 to 5000 feet above!

Columbia Glacier is located in Prince William Sound, Alaska. It is one of the fastest moving glaciers in the world and is South Central Alaska's largest tidewater glacier. However, since 1980 it has disintegrated in length by as much as 9 miles.

Horseshoe Lake in Denali National Park
While photographing a female moose at Horseshoe Lake in Denali National Park, I heard a crashing and splashing noise to my left. To my surprise, running out of the woods and into the water were twin calves running toward the safety of mom.
